Dr. John Watson has worn many hats in his lifetime. He has been a medical student, an army surgeon, a doctor in civilian life, and is currently something of a detective, even if he fell into the last purely by chance. He did not grow up in London but calls it home now, living in and running his medical practice out of a set of rooms at 221B Baker Street.

(He has also worn many hats in a literal sense. He's fond of bowlers.)

He stands at just under six feet tall with a relatively athletic frame, and walks with a pronounced limp and a cane thanks to a bullet; a parting gift from Afghanistan that is still in his leg. He is in his 30s and has very blue eyes, sideburns and a mustache, and close-cropped dark hair.

Watson is a steady fellow, pragmatic and patient and thoroughly decent and loyal as the day is long, but he is also very sharp and has a wicked sense of humor. Both qualities are necessities when dealing with Sherlock Holmes.

Dr. John Watson is from the 2009 movie Sherlock Holmes, and is the property of ... well, he is a character in the public domain. I don't own him, though, and I especially don't own him if the various sources who made the movie have some kind of a copyright. He appears here solely for the purpose of role-playing in milliways_bar, from which no profit whatsoever is being made.

Note: While I realise that Watson is a pretty iconic character, I'd really rather he not be told that he's fictional. If you must bring it up, he'll probably assume that in the future he will write the stories that he has been thinking about, but please don't tell him that he isn't real.
